BlueCity Hackathons

To achieve structural biocircular economy, BlueCity Lab is organizing hackathons on specific topics with a targeted group of processors, nature experts, entrepreneurs and professionals. This is an applied design sprint, spread over one to four weeks, in which three teams redesign a system.

The hackathon is organized in phases. The teams of committed professionals go through these phases so that everyone understands local demand, understands what is going wrong now, broadens their network, works on a physical solution in BlueCity Lab and tests their assumptions around the intended business case with future customers and investors.

This way of working ensures that we forge strong coalitions. In this way we learn together how it can be done: which promising products are suitable for construction, what raw materials are required for this, which investments in time, money, knowledge and prototyping are required, and from whom.

Current hackathons:

BlueCity Hackathon – Groene Gevels

BlueCity Hackathon – Biobased bouwproducten van Hollands wol

BlueCity Hackathon – Op zoek naar circulair steenpapier
